For the 2022 World Cup, we created 250+ assets that ran in 74 different countries. But first, we launched a soccer-inspired version of our tagline.

It was McDonald’s 2nd most liked and shared tweet ever. And we a ton of engagement off of it.
We paid it off with a loud :15 second spot starring Jason Sudeikis.

Eventually, fans all over the world asked the same question in 13 languages, 1 sign language and 7 dialects: Wanna go to McDonald’s?
We brought on TikTok’s #1 influencer Khaby Lame, K-Pop band Itzy and soccer podcaster Castro to help craft our story with videos and posts on their social handles.
The campaign spoke to global audiences in a local way, with regional nicknames of McDonald’s featured on packaging and in World Cup stadiums.
The campaign was a success! And we even helped W+K win the global McD’s business in the process.
